Vintie Design Co. is a one woman operation birthed out of the heart of Marissa Devantier. One day, Marissa was making coasters on her dining room table to gift to her mother on her birthday. Her mother had lived in six cities throughout her life, so she had the creative idea to make map coasters of each city. Well, they were a hit! Since everyone loved the idea of the coasters, she kept making them, and truth be told, she really enjoyed it. And that’s where Vintie Design Co. all started.
Marissa always wanted to be a missionary. But one day in 2009, God revealed to her that she really is a missionary wherever she goes and wherever she lives. You don’t have to go overseas to be a missionary furthering the Kingdom of God. This is when she dove more deeply into creating a meaningful product that brought favorite places to life.
The coasters can be made of a wide variety of U.S. cities and even some International cities. On her Etsy site, you’ll find a long list of options for both. How neat is that? Maps can be intriguing, but so can the stories of the customers purchasing the map coasters. That’s one of her favorite parts of making products – getting to know her customers.
Marissa says that the journey of growing a handmade business is wonderful. Vintie Design Co. has grown so much within the past year and she feels like she learns something new each day. She finds everything rewarding – sharing the coasters with a customer from Etsy to having partnered with stores that carry her coasters wholesale.
I was so eager to see how great my city choices came out when I first received my package in the mail. I fell in love with them immediately! They are very high quality and have such a unique vintage look to them. They make a great addition to our living room space.

Boston, MA // I was brought up in Massachusetts my whole life and even though I have only been to Boston a handful of times, that city will always have a place in my heart. It’s beyond stunning and has so much great character to it.
Philadelphia, PA // I went to college about 40 minutes outside of Philadelphia, so naturally, I’ve been on a few adventures there. I love the history of this city and the adventure that’s always waiting to be had here.
Manhattan, NY // I love New York City, so enough said, right?
Portland, OR // Okay, so I have never been out West, but I have always had such a fascination with Oregon. From all of the photos I have seen, I am already in love with this place. I can’t wait to get over there and adventure around.
