Hey beauties! I am not anywhere close to a being beauty blogger, but I do enjoy sharing about my favorite beauty finds once and awhile. It’s been almost an exact year since I have last blogged about some of my beauty favorites. Where does the time go?
I share on Snapchat about what I’m loving from time to time, but I want to expand that to this space, too. My sister was visiting me a couple weeks ago and encouraged me to blog about my beauty favorites so that she can get great recommendations! So with her encouragement and because I have found some amazing favorites for the season, I’m going to share all the beauty-related items I have been absolutely loving lately!
FALL BEAUTY FAVORITES:
When I first saw on Instagram and Snapchat that Maybelline came out with a setting spray, I knew I had to get my hands on it. Before using Maybelline’s setting spray, I was hooked on Urban Decay’s All Nighter Setting Spray. In fact, that’s the setting spray I used on my wedding day. It worked amazing, but what wasn’t so amazing was the price. I needed to find an alternative to Urban Decay’s setting spray, because I couldn’t keep paying $30.00 every couple months. Well, I found my alternative and I am in LOVE with it! Maybelline Face Studio Master Fix Setting Spray is now my go-to setting spray. I started using it this summer and I’m still on my first bottle. I simply spray it on after applying all of my makeup. It’s light and airy, and doesn’t leave a sticky feeling on your face like other setting sprays. It works great for everyday use and for special occasions.
Urban Decay’s full-sized setting sprays are 4.0 ounces for $30.00 and Maybelline’s is $8.59 (at Target) for 3.4 fl ounces. Maybelline’s is just a tiny bit smaller that the UD one, but it’s significantly more of a deal! You’ve got to try it out, ladies!
About a month ago I was on the hunt for a new blush, so I turned to Twitter for suggestions. I had tons of friends recommend Milani blushes, so I figured it was time I give one a try. The blush I had used before lacked pigment and barely stayed on for half of the day. It was super frustrating! I ended up picking up Milani’s Rose Powder Blush in Blossomtime Rose and it’s by far one of the best blushes I have ever used in my life. The color is perfect for my skin tone and it lasts all day without me having to touch it up. It also blends perfectly with my everyday bronzer, which is a huge plus. I paid $6.99 for the blush and I’m completely satisfied.
This was my first time ever trying any Milani product, so I’m really interested to try more from them. If you have any favorites from Milani, tell me about them in the comments!
I am a HUGE nail polish fanatic! I paint my nails all of the time because it’s therapeutic to me and is also a great way to showcase my mood and personality. A few weeks ago I was in Rite Aid on the hunt for the perfect muted cranberry shade nail polish. I checked through my favorite brands, and found nothing. Before I knew it, I found myself looking at Wet N Wild’s Megalast nail polishes. At first, I was super skeptical to even give them a try because the last time I used something from Wet N Wild, I wasn’t happy at all. I looked at the price ($1.99) and decided it was worth trying. I went home and my GOSH did I fall in love. The brush is by far one of the best parts of this nail polish as it helps provide perfect application – it’s their Manicurve Pro Brush. The color was true to its color, but I had to apply two coats to get it all even (which I do for every nail polish anyway). It dried fast and it held up for days! The first time I worse this polish I lasted up for 5 days without chipping at all, which is huge for me. I had to go out an purchase two more shades, because I am won over on this brand hardcore!
If you’ve been looking for an affordable and reliable nail polish, you need to go try Wet N Wild’s Megalast polishes!
The names of the shade (left to right): Haze Of Love, Wet Cement, Private Viewing. In the photo above, I’m wear Wet Cement! It’s the perfect gray/mauve color.
Ladies, this brow pencil has totally upped my brow game like never before. For real. This is the first brow pencil I ever purchased and it’s definitely one that I’m going to keep going back to time and time again. I’m grateful that my brows are naturally more full than others, which means I don’t have to pencil them in a ton every single day. Even though my brows are full on their own, I do like to go in and fill in a tiny bit more to give them a more crisp look. ColourPop’s brow pencil in Dope Taupe is my holy grail brow pencil. It’s a twist-up and comes with a smaller point than eyeliners, which helps to accurately shape my brows in the best and easiest way possible. I am still on my first brow pencil and I have had it since June (5 month). I’m sure it’s nearing the end, so I just put in for another one in my next ColourPop order.
If you’ve been on the hunt for a great brow pencil, check theirs out! It’s amazing quality for an even more amazing price – $5.00! This will always be a steal!
If you follow me on my social channels like Snapchat and Twitter, you already know how in love I am with anything ColourPop. ColourPop is seriously underrated! Their products are some of my favorite products ever – I just can’t get enough of them (and their amazing prices)! I love a good neutral lip that I can wear for everyday purposes and for going out. One of my fall go-to lip colors is Frick N’ Frack, which is one of ColourPop’s Ultra Satin lipsticks. It’s lightweight and comfortable, and it’s the perfect rosy terracotta shade you’ll ever get your hands on. It’s smooth and is immensely long-lasting! It’s not 100% non-transferrable, but it does hold up during and after food and drink. I can’t get enough of it. Oh, did I mention the price? These babies are only $6.00! Talk about super affordable…an excuse to get more than just one every time you order! 😉
