Hey there, beauties! Last month, I shared about my newest beauty find – PMD Beauty’s Personal Microderm. Microdermabrasion is a process of exfoliation that helps to remove dead skin cells. The PMD Personal Microderm is a tool that combines patented spinning disc technology with perfectly calibrated vacuum suction to leave your skin looking fresh and radiant.
To read more about what the PMD Personal Microderm and how it works, be sure to read my initial post about this great tool.
When I got the opportunity to partner with PMD Beauty to try out their Personal Microderm Device, I was super excited, but I was also a tiny bit nervous, as I wasn’t sure what to expect.
A QUICK RECAP ON WHAT THIS DEVICE DOES…
Microdermabrasion is a process of exfoliation that helps to remove dead skin cells. The PMD Personal Microderm is a tool that combines patented spinning disc technology with perfectly calibrated vacuum suction to leave your skin looking fresh and radiant. The Personal Microderm should only be used once a week, as it removes the top layer of dead, dull skin, so your body needs one week to rejuvenate. Weekly treatments can reduce the appearance of blemishes, enlarged pores, fine lines, and wrinkles.
Now it’s time to get super vulnerable with you all… this is how you know I love you, haha!
The photo above is me without any makeup on. This was taken right before I tried out my Personal Microderm Device for the first time. As you can see, I have some redness, uneven skin tone, and scarring from acne. I also have some fine lines on the outer parts of my forehead and one more defined line off-center on my forehead. Out of everything (even adult acne when it strikes), these lines are my biggest insecurity right now. I’m only twenty-four… even though in this photo I look 15, haha.
My first time using my Personal Microderm Device was exactly like the instructions and other reviewers said it would be. I had some redness after using the device for about 10 minutes or so, and then it faded away. As the instructions encourage, I used their Recovery Mask, which is an anti-aging collagen infusing sheet mask. I love this mask and definitely recommend following up your treatment with it.
You don’t have to use just that mask, though. After the treatment, you can apply toner and moisturizer of your choice to your skin.
MY THOUGHTS AND RESULTS SO FAR…
After using the PMD Microderm Device for 4 weeks (4 uses), I have seen a tiny bit of improvement in my skin. The main noticeable difference that I have found is the texture of my cheeks and cheekbone area on my face. They’re much softer than they were before I started using the device. I have also noticed a slight fading in some acne scarring areas on my higher cheekbones.
I’m definitely going to be continuing to use the device, especially since the major results are expected to be seen within 8 – 12 weeks. I’m hopeful to see even more of an improvement in my skin within the upcoming weeks! I’m especially hoping to see a change in the fine lines I have on my forehead.
