Hey there, darlings! I am so happy that it’s officially springtime! It seemed like it took the snow forever to melt away here in the Poconos. Since it’s a new season, I wanted to share a few of my favorite beauty essentials for this spring! Even though I am not a beauty blogger by any means, I do love being able to share some of the products that I love and swear by with you all.
MY SPRING BEAUTY FAVORITES:
Today, I’ll be sharing a few different categories of favorites with you. I’ll be sharing my favorite products in the departments of: skin care, body, makeup, nails, and hair care! I’m psyched to get started! Are you? Let’s get into the goods!
– SKIN CARE –
Nip + Fab’s Kale Fix Clay Mask // I have shared all about how great Nip + Fab products are before here, but I honestly can’t stop raving about them. I haven’t tried a product of theirs that I didn’t like or see results from. They’re genuinely that good! I shared about this kale fix clay mask on Snapchat a few weeks ago and had some of you express interest in it. It’s really gentle on the skin and leaves your skin feeling extremely soft and refreshed. It’s currently my favorite product by them! Check it out!
Nip + Fab’s Dragon’s Blood Fix Plumping Mask // With the change in seasons taking place, my face is experiencing more dryness than usual. While Nip + Fab’s Kale Fix Clay Mask helps to freshen and soften my face, I turn to Nip + Fab’s Dragon’s Blood Fix Plumping Mask for hydration. It also helps to brighten my skin tone, which is exactly the help my skin needs on top of hydration to look healthy and glowing this spring.
Colorescience Tint du Soleil SPF 30 UV Protective Foundation // Colorescience sent me this foundation in a PR sample package a few weeks back, and it’s become my new go-to foundation. It provides medium-coverage on my skin and pairs well with their corrector palette to hide any major imperfections. It is super soft and lightweight, and it blends into your skin perfectly. If you’re in the market for a healthy foundation that feels great on your skin, you’ve got to try this one out.
Colorescience Mineral Corrector Palette, Light to Medium // I struggle with acne blemishes from time to time, and I have darker circles than I’d like to have under my eyes. This is where Colorescience’s Corrector Palette steps in and helps me out. It’s the first corrector palette that I have ever tried out and I’m loving it, especially pairing it with their protective foundation. This palette helps to neutralize any red, blue, and yellow tones. It’s a keeper!
– BODY –
Tarte Brazilliance Self Tanner // Last Spring, Kristen from A Classy Fashionista recommended that I try out Tarte’s Brazilliance Self Tanner, as I was in the market for one. I decided to give it a go, since I already love the other Tarte products that I owned! I ended up loving it! I tried other self tanners in the past, but many left my skin really streaky. I don’t have that issue with this self tanner, and I think it’s because of the texture of this product. It’s more gel-like, instead of a lotion. I love a good tan, but I want to make sure I’m achieving one in a healthy way!
– MAKEUP –
Urban Decay’s Naked3 Eyeshadow Palette // I grabbed the UD Naked3 palette for my wedding. I did my own makeup to help save money, and for the fact I would get to keep the makeup I did splurge on. The Naked3 palette has all of the pretty blush and neutral colors that you need, and the highlighter eyeshadow in this palette is one of my favorites ever. I love my Naked3, but…I have found a dupe for it that (in my personal opinion) is even better than the Naked3.
My youngest sister had gotten our sister a bunch of makeup for Christmas, and one of the items was the dupe for the Naked3. I had forgotten my palette one time when I was visiting home, so I ended up using my sister’s dupe palette! I was blown away at how well the dupe palette worked. When I found out my sister got it off Amazon for under $7…I was even more in shock, haha!
Drumroll, please…
The dupe for the Naked3 is L.A. Girl Beauty Brick Eyeshadow Palette in Nudes. The pigmentation of this palette is incredible. To me, most of the shadows in this palette are pigmented way better than those of the Naked3. The few days I wore these shadows, they lasted all day! Again, I was seriously so shocked.
So, if you’re in the market for a blush/nudes palette and love a good deal, you’ve GOT to grab this one. We’re talking about a $47.78 dollar difference here! I wish I knew about this dupe a long time ago.
Rimmel London’s Exaggerate Waterproof Eyeliner // Rimmel London is my top favorite drugstore makeup brand. They never let me down. This waterproof eyeliner of theirs is my all-time favorite eyeliner. It’s a twist up that glides on smoothly and stays put all day long. I can’t rave about it enough!
Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor in Embrace // For the springtime, this is one of my favorite pinks to wear on my lips. It’s light and playful, perfect for an everyday look. It feels comfortable on your lips and stays put for a long time. You do have to touch it up after eating or drinking, but not by much. The one downside to this lipcolor is the tube it’s in. It doesn’t leak everywhere, but it does get leaky inside of the cap, if that makes sense? Other than that, I love it.
Tarte Tarteist Creamy Matte Lip Paint in Birthday Suit // I’m all about a pretty, neutral nude lip, especially in the springtime. I got this lip paint as part of my birthday gift from Sephora, and I fell in love with it the first time I put it on. It goes on like a velvet matte, but it dries really well. It lasts a long time and isn’t drying. It’s a for sure favorite! Will definitely purchase it whenever it runs out.
– NAILS –
Essie Sew Psyched // In the springtime, everything is green and bright! That’s why I love Essie’s Sew Psyched for spring. It’s a shade of olive green, but instead of being on the duller side, it’s a bit brighter than your usual olive green. Isn’t it pretty?
Sinful Colors Unicorn // Sinful Colors nail polish has some of my favorite nail polish shades ever. For being on the cheaper side, Sinful Colors nail polishes have amazing quality. I love, love this yellow for spring. It reminds me of peeps, haha!
Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear in Breeze Blue // Looking for the perfect sky blue to sport on your nails this spring? This is it! I got this as a birthday gift last year and fell in love with it for the spring and summertime. Sally Hansen’s Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear are some of my most favorite nail polishes – the quality is phenomenal!
Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Au Nature-al // Like I already said, I love Sally Hansen products. Their Complete Salon Manicure line is my absolute favorite. They go on smoothly and are highly chip-resistant! This natural color is stunning!
– HAIR CARE –
Joico Blonde Life Brightening Shampoo & Conditioner // I just received Joico’s Blonde Life Brightening Shampoo & Conditioner complementary from Influencer a couple weeks ago. Even though my hair is in desperate need of a new color (haven’t had it colored since Christmas!!), it’s helping to keep my hair brightened. This isn’t a purple shampoo for blonde hair, it simply helps to illuminate your color to keep it from becoming dull. I’m impressed so far! You need bright hair for springtime.
