As a blogger who is always looking for new ideas and different ways to channel creativity, I love the days where I can get away from my apartment and visit a coffee shop to get work done at. Having a change of scenery every now and then really helps me refocus my attention and feel a new sense of inspiration.
For the days I decide to go out, I always need to have my blog bag with me. What is my blog bag exactly? It’s where I keep all of the items I need to keep my creative juices flowing when I’m away from my desk.
Today I’m letting you in on all of the essentials I have handy in my bag, and how you can create your own blog bag, too! Before I let you in on all of my must-haves, here are some questions to consider when choosing your own items to put in your blog bag.
QUESTIONS TO ASK WHEN CHOOSING YOUR BLOG BAG ITEMS:
1. What electronics do I need to take with me? Laptop, tablet, phone such as an iPhone 12 Refurbished, etc.
2. What necessities always keep me inspired? Book, creative journal.
3. Do I need something to chew on to stay focused?
4. What can I take that won’t be an overload of items?
5. Can these items be easily organized in my bag?
WHAT’S IN MY BLOG BAG:
Before getting to choosing my essentials, I had to choose a bag that was big enough for all of my essentials to fit in. The bag I chose is a huge gold tote that was gifted to me for Christmas from my sweet in-laws. Totes are usually the way to go when looking for the perfect blog bag.
After finalizing my bag choice, I then decided on all of the essentials I was going to keep in my bag at all times.
Notebook & Planner // I love the power that writing something down can bring, which is why I use a notebook specifically for all of my blogging ideas. From new blog post ideas to collaboration ideas, I brainstorm easier when I write them down. I love to throw my planner in my blog bag, as I’m apt to make new dates for blog posts and photo shoots.
Pencil Case With Pens & Markers // Having a pencil case helps me keep my pens and markers organized. I know it’s a bit ironic that I don’t have pencils in my pencil case, but I just seem to work that much better with pens and markers!
Laptop & iPad // Having my laptop with me is obviously a no brainer, but it has to be included in my essentials. I love being able to have my iPad with me as an extra workspace if I’m having to use Google Docs or work from a different social media account.
Headphones // I love the natural sounds I hear at coffee shops; coffee being ground, people chatting, and soft music playing. While I love all of these sounds at a coffee shop, depending on the project or post, I work better when I can just plug in and listen to my own tunes.
Water Bottle // As I’m trying to drink more water, it’s key for me to keep a bottle of water with me at all times. Even though you’ll always find me sipping on coffee while I’m working, I do need to sip on some water, as well.

HOW I PACK EVERYTHING IN MY BAG:
Believe it or not, I have a certain method to packing all of my blogging necessities into my blog bag. I always have to be organized!
My packing order: Laptop, notebook, iPad, planner, pencil case, water bottle, headphones, and last (but not least!) my Extra® 35-stick packs.
It’s a super simple method, but still a very needed method!
