Sweater weather is simply my favorite weather. It always will be. There’s just something so cozy and comforting to me about sweater weather. Are you with me?
Once sweater weather hits…I think this goes without saying, but I will almost always be found in some kind of sweater. Because, sweater weather! DUH. 🙂
Today, I am sharing all about one of my ABSOLUTE favorite sweaters that I have ever owned before. This piece is something I grabbed off the clearance rack at Francesca’s this past spring. And gosh, I am so glad I did! It’s simply stunning.
If you’ve been a reader of CWS for awhile now, you probably already know that I’m a lover of all neutral colors, which means the color gray plays a huge part in my wardrobe. Literally, the majority of my wardrobe are different shades of grays, whites, and blacks. I just can’t help myself. Anyone else like me? Let me know I’m not alone here!
This little number won me over from the second I tried it on in the dressing room. It was comfortable and chic all at once, which is always a win for me.
Part of the reason I was drawn to this sweater was because it has a bit of a marled look to it, which I love. I always find myself fawning over marled tops…it’s hard for me not to. Another reason why I was drawn to it was because of the beautiful cowl neck detailing to it. To be honest, I was shocked to have been drawn to this sweater because of the cowl neck, as before trying this one on, I was always skeptical on if they’d flatter me or not. I’m so glad I broke down and tried it on, because I felt so classy in it! The cowl neck adds a bit of a sophisticated feel to the overall ensemble.
The cowl neck is super warm and is the perfect weight. The weight of a sweater and its detailing is really important to me, as I’m not much of a fan of heavy sweaters. As I mentioned in last week’s style post, I am a huge fan of lightweight sweaters since I get warm quickly.
Most sweaters with cowl necks have more of a classy and chic look to them, more than a regular knit sweater might have. This sweater is perfect to wear out and about for a walk in the park or for going out on a Friday night with friends. Dress it up with leather leggings or dress it casual with distressed skinnies, like I did. Either way is lovely!
These booties first made their debut here on CWS when I shared my Edgy Rocker Chic look back in September. I scored these at Primark for only $25! YEP. You read that right. Talk about a steal!
The have the most intricate wrap detailing and the most adorable bows on the backs of them. As soon as I saw the little bow detail, I knew I had to grab them.
