Hey there, beauties! How are you doing? Happy Tuesday! Wow – can you believe we’re already really into December? I can’t believe the holiday season is in full swing now.
It’s been a HOT sec since my last fully dedicated fashion post and that’s because of the weather! Towards the end of fall, the weather was always rain, rain, rain. Therefore, it’s impossible to shoot photos outside. Then the winter weather hit us early in November with 10+ inches of snow. (BRRR!) Oh, and don’t get me started about how the sun basically starts to set at 2:30 in the afternoon. It’s been wild, haha.
Thankfully, this past weekend, we were able to squeeze in a few photo shoots. Praise the Lord!!
Today’s look is the first holiday outfit that I’ll be sharing with you!
I decided to try out Rent The Runway for the first time, after hearing so many other bloggers and fashionistas raving about it for so long. If you’ve never heard of Rent The Runway before, listen up!
Basically, you get to choose items to rent and you return them when you’re done. This is great for fashion bloggers all the way to just needing a nice outfit to attend a wedding or an event. For my first shipment, I decided to rent this white leather skirt, this evergreen sweater, and this fun tassel earrings. I thought they’d look amazing together for a holiday outfit and gosh, I was right. 😉
This white skirt is simply stunning. I love the slight pleated detailing that it has and it’s really just elegant. It ran a tad longer than I wanted but I do have a short torso, so that didn’t help me much, haha. So, I spent over 30 minutes looking for a dupe to this skirt but couldn’t find one. With that being said, if you come across a white faux leather skirt, you have to try it on! I’m one who usually sticks to black or denim skirts but I was shocked at how much I loved this white one.
Now let’s talk about this evergreen sweater… This was definitely my most favorite piece from my first RTR shipment! It’s casual but can be dressed up a bit, which is typically the style I go for most for my wardrobe. It has a scoop neckline and a thick thermal look to it. It’s not a heavy sweater but it’s also not lightweight. For me, I thought it was the perfect thickness. I absolutely adored the color of this sweater. This color just makes my heart swoon, especially during the wintertime. The cut-out detail on the elbows is simply genius. It’s amazing how just one simple detail can make a piece all that more beautiful.
These earrings were the perfect addition to my outfit. You should all know by now that I’m very simple when it comes to accessorizing. I don’t like too much clutter on me, haha. These earrings were the perfect deep maroon to tie the entire holiday look together.
Oh, and we can’t forget about my shoes! I purchased these shoes in September to originally wear to a wedding but ended up not wearing them. When I was trying to decide which shoes to pair with this outfit, I just had to pick these. They’re no longer available where I purchased them, but they are still on Amazon for $24.99!
