The summertime is quickly fading away and as most of you already know, I could not be happier. While I enjoy the summertime and the style it brings, my soul will always be more content with autumn and its fashion.
One of my favorite times of the year is the transition between summertime into autumn, as you get both warmth and chill all at once. There’s just something about being able to wear jeans and a tee when there’s a comfortable breeze in the air that put my soul at ease. I know I can’t be alone in this feeling, right?
Well, today I’m sharing about one of my new favorite casual outfits. I love style and learning about new trends, but I’ll always be a casual girl at heart. Something I really want to encourage here on the blog is that no matter what you’re preferred style is (casual, dressy, prep, boho), you can always rock it out.
I have a unique sense of style, though I always stay true to being casual. I love to incorporate a bit of minimalist, boho, and classic into the majority of my outfits. I always stick to neutral colors and similar cuts and lengths for tops and such.
My favorite element of this outfit is that is completely captures the beginning days of autumn. The olive green top and the cognac colors in the boots and purse will always scream “fall” to me. Though I’m usually found in blacks, whites, and grays, these two colors together are something to sing about. Seriously! I just adore them together.
I scored this lovely light olive top at Target the other week and am swooning over it. What drew me in about it other than the color was that it has a loose-fit babydoll fit to it. Even though this is a tank top, it’s style and fit makes it easy to layer for autumn days. Just throw a cute cardigan over top or a denim jacket and you’re good to go.
The bottoms that I’m wearing will forever be one of my favorite pairs of jeggings. Jeggings are my go-to bottoms for almost any day it’s cooler out – through autumn all the way through spring. They’re extremely comfortable and the color is still as vibrant as when I first got them over a year ago. You can never go wrong with dark-wash jeggings, my friends!
Oh my goodness. You guys. These ankle boots are SO perfect for autumn and they’re so comfortable to wear. I know I have shared before about how hard it is for me to find cute shoes, as my feet are so small (size 2). It can be discouraging each season when I need new shoes and all the styles I love are just huge on me. It’s the worst! So, I always resort to the kids’ shoe section. This time though, I scored big time. Target, seriously – you’ve won me over once again. These stunning aztec print ankle boots from the Cat & Jack line are beyond, beyond perfection. They have hints of olive, navy, pale yellow, and more, making them perfect to pair with anything fall styled.
I live for casual outfits that reflect my personality. I always strive for comfort and intentionality in every piece of clothing that I purchase. Intentionality is so important.
