Mid-November already? How? I have been asking myself this the past few days. Though it’s bittersweet that November is passing by as quickly as the rest of the year has, I am extremely excited for Thanksgiving next week!
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. Why? Yes, of course the delicious food and desserts! But also, the coziness and sense of gratefulness that is welcoming and kind to the soul. It’ll forever be my favorite.
Lately, I have been all about blanket scarves. They are as cozy and warm as they sound! Blanket scarves are basically a huge square piece of heavenly softness and warmth. They’re the perfect fall and winter accessory for almost any outfit.
REASONS WHY YOU NEED A BLANKET SCARF:
- They double as a blanket whenever you need one. For real! I have done it before.
- They can be worn a TON of different ways. Seriously – Go check out Pinterest to see all of the never-ending ways you can style a blanket scarf.
- They can be for casual wear and for classy wear. It’s the perfect transitional scarf.
You need to go grab a blanket scarf today or at least put it on your holiday wish list!
Since blanket scarves are rather huge pieces of loveliness, my favorite hairstyle to do when I wear one is a top knot. Top knots have been all the rave for quite awhile now, and I’m so glad that they are. Just like the blanket scarf, top knots are perfect for just a casual day or a night out. Transitional pieces and styles is where it’s always at, ladies!
Earlier this year I shared two of my favorite ways to create the perfect top knot! If you haven’t checked it out yet, you can access it here. For this shoot, I created my top knot the second way that’s shown in the previously linked post.
Top knots rock n’ rule. Rock ’em out!
Can we take a moment and talk about how adorable and fun my new Rexy clutch from Coach is? I’m in love with it.
To complete the rest of my outfit with my blanket scarf, I chose to wear a three-quarter sleeve black tunic that I grabbed on the clearance rack at Kohl’s last season and my light-wash pair of distressed skinny jeans from American Eagle. And the shoes? Well you’ve seen these gorgeous loves a few times here already, but I scored them at Primark earlier this season.
I feel that distressed jeans get kind of the “rocker vibe” type of an assumption with them, which can be totally true and fitting. Trust me, I love to dress edgy. But, distressed jeans can also be classy when the entire ensemble is styled properly!

ALSO. Can we just talk about how amazing my husband is getting with photography? He’s a super talented fella, but gosh, he totally understands the vibe and aesthetic I’m going for with every shoot and I’m very impressed by him! SO thankful for his support with my blogging career. He’s my #1.
Are you a blanket scarf fan? If so, what’s your favorite one look like? Why do you love them? How about top knots? Do you rock them? Let’s chat about coziness!
