Winter was absolutely grueling this year and just two weeks ago, we had over a foot of snow on the ground still. Yep, the struggle is real when you live where I do, here in The Pocono Mountains. Guess what? It gets even crazier… we’re getting some snow today. Le sigh! I am keeping my fingers crossed this is the last of it.
Anyway, the reason why I’m sharing all of this is that this is why my winter to spring transitional outfits have been severely delayed, haha. Don’t worry, I’ll be making up for it.
Today, I’m sharing my absolute favorite winter to spring outfit that I’ve been wearing on repeat lately, especially on the weekends when I’m out and about with Michael.
If there’s a winter to spring weekend outfit you need, this is it!
The Casual Winter To Spring Weekend Outfit You Need
I’m not like the other fashion bloggers who’ll tell you to break out your dresses the second spring arrives. Nope, I’m not that girl and I never will be. Instead, I prefer to focus on being intentional and practical with transitioning my wardrobe, not just from winter to spring, but through every season. I want to encourage you to do the same!
While dresses are fun and appropriate for spring, for some regions in the US (and around the world), it’s just not the most practical option for transitioning into spring.
One of my favorite things about fashion is that everyone has their own unique style. So, if breaking out dresses on the first day of spring is your thing, do it, girl!
For me, transitioning from winter to spring with my wardrobe means 3 things.
- Lighter layers
- Comfortable kicks
- New sunglasses

Looking back over the past few years, if I had to pick my top fashion staple for winter to spring (and spring in general), it’d be a denim jacket. Hands down. I have a few and love them all! I just recently got this one a couple of weeks ago and I can’t sing its praises enough.
It’s lightweight but still breaks the wind on a cooler day. The medium wash is probably the best one I’ve ever found – it’s not super blue but is still true to the denim look. It has pockets and runs true to size! I’m in LOVE with it!
These sunglasses are so fun and I’m glad I decided to get them. I’m usually more classic when it comes to sunnies. Aka… I don’t usually pick ones that have prints on the frame. I love the color and print of these. I’m very picky about sunglasses because as much as I want them to be stylish, I also want them to actually protect my eyes. These do just that! I’m excited to wear them from spring to summer, too!
I have played around with this denim jacket a few times now and so far, this is by far my favorite look to pair with it. A black lace-trimmed cami (or t-shirt), black distressed skinnies, adidas superstars, and this tote… I don’t know what it is but I just can’t get enough of this outfit. I love that it’s a little bit of everything – classic, edgy, and sporty. It’s a step up from athleisure but still just as comfortable and ideal for a busy weekend around town.
Here’s my exact outfit linked for ya!
