Hey there, friends! Can you believe it’s already April? This year is flying by unfathomably fast. It’s been a long time since my last coffee chat and life lately post, so today I’m sharing some highlights of our year so far. It’s been great so far!
My day-to-day with the kids has been much more relaxed since stepping back from full-time content creation. I don’t have the stresses of work looming over me, allowing me to soak up better all the moments I have with my kids. It’s been a peaceful time for my heart.
Taya turned 3 in February! My little threenager is growing up… I’m so proud of her and who she’s becoming. Forever mama’s girl. Taya and I have been enjoying coffee and shopping dates together and she loves going on pizza and shopping dates with Michael. Don’t worry – she doesn’t actually get coffee, haha. She typically opts for lemonade but she won’t turn down a frappuccino either. She makes life so fun!
I turned the big 30 in March! It wasn’t as scary as I thought it would be. In fact, I feel like I’m thriving and more excited for the years ahead than I have ever been. In this Instagram Reel, I share a bit of reflection I have been doing after turning 30. Thinking back to 15-year-old me and if she could see me now… what I’ve overcome and what my life has turned into. It’s such a powerful thought and I can’t help but feel immensely grateful for the life I have. God is good.
Jace turned 1 in March! My baby boy is now a toddler… how?! Jace is the happiest boy and he fills my life with lots of smiles. He’s the sweetest little boy – he gets his sweetness from Michael. He keeps me on my toes, that’s for sure. I absolutely love the age he’s at and I wish I could freeze time. 1 is such a fun age!
Spring is here and we have been getting outside as much as we can. I love taking the kids to the park and I’m grateful that we have so many good ones in the area. We tried a new park last week and it was awesome. Taya loves slides and ran up to this huge one without hestiation. Jace mostly likes to play with the wood chips at the park, haha. He does enjoy the swings or when I help him go down a slide. He can’t wait to do what big sis does.
I have been making an effort to be more crafty with Taya when Jace is napping. She usually wants to color or paint something, but the other week, we made DIY binoculars out of empty toilet paper rolls. It was a hit and so fun for both of us.
