I have been eagerly awaiting to post about how I asked my Maids of Honor and my Bridesmaids to be my ladies! I decided to jazz it up a bit and do my post in the form of a DIY. I hope you enjoy!
When Michael and I first got engaged, I spent lots of time on Pinterest trying to find inspiration on how to ask my ladies to be in my Bridal Party. There were tons of cool ideas, but I decided to go with this one because it was simple and sweet.
What I needed: 5 white gift boxes, pink balloons, thin pink ribbon, pink gift tags, notepad, silver confetti, rhinestones, silver tissue paper, scissors, sharpies, tape, straight pins, and notecards.
First: I added the silver tissue paper inside the bottom of the box and added some of the silver confetti stars along with it.
Second: I wrote my secret question on a tiny slip of notepad paper and rolled it up to later put inside the balloon. I added a heart rhinestone to seal the scroll shut.
Third: I added some silver confetti stars to the inside of the balloon and once I got a good amount in there, I then added my secret question.
Fourth: I blew up the balloon to its proper size so it’d fit inside of the box. Then I measured out some of the thin pink ribbon to tie around the knot of the balloon.
Fifth: I wrote “pop me!” on the gift tag and taped a straight pin onto it.
Sixth: Then I attached the gift tag to the end of the string that was tied onto the balloon. Once I was finished with that, the balloon was all ready to go and be put inside the box.
Seventh: After the box was all set, I wrote a personalized note in the card, sealed it and placed it in the box.
Eighth: We’re almost done! Now, I had to measure out more of the ribbon to tie around the box.
Ninth: I weaved the gift tag with the name of the girl onto the string and made a bow.
Ta-Da!!! It was a success.
Shout-out to my handsome fiancé for being a sweetheart and capturing the photos for me! He’s pretty great. I am looking forward to the day I get to call him my husband.
I hope you enjoyed my tutorial!
