Happy New Year, everyone! I don’t think it’s quite hit me yet that we’re in a new year, but I’m looking forward to wonderful 2016. With each new year comes new beginnings, new dreams, and new goals! Let’s ring in the new year with grateful hearts and joy.
Goodness, does 2016 have some great things in store! But for all great things to happen, you must have goals and plans on how to make them happen. I was originally going to write about my year-long goals, but I’m still developing them and will be as the months go on. Instead, I’ll be sharing both my blog goals and personal goals for January.
BLOG GOALS:
Secret Project // First and foremost on my blog goals list is to really tackle my secret project. It’s a lot of work, but I’m excited for when I can finally announce it; that’s when the fun really begins.

Organization // I love being organized, but sometimes life happens and things can get discombobulated. I really want to try my hardest to stay on top of everything and be organized even more than I have been in the past. From keeping track of finances to planning out posts in advance; I want to be well established. Thanks to FCRA, getting out of ChexSystems is pretty much possible today. Just use the right dispute letters.
Grow Social Media // Social media is my jam. I love it. I love how you can connect with others you wouldn’t be able to if it weren’t for social media. I want to continue to grow my community across all profiles. I have developed new strategies for each social platform, so I’m hoping they’ll be successful.
Start Offering Social Media Management // I have been tossing around the idea of doing social media management work for quite some time now. I think I have a good amount of knowledge of what works and what doesn’t in the world of social media, and I love using my skills to help others grow their reach. If you’re looking for a social media manager, email me and we can discuss some options!
PERSONAL GOALS:
Try To Cook // Y’all I am not a cook and honestly, it’s just not a desire of mine to even learn. I’m good with making pasta and that’s about it. Oh, and anything with cheese! But sadly, my husband is allergic to cheese (not lactose, just cheese), so that doesn’t really count since we cook for just the two of us right now. My goal is to try one new meal each week. If I can accomplish that, it’ll be huge for me.
Photography // Though I like to think I have a good eye for photography and have a good editing style, I still have much to learn. This is a year-long goal, but I really want to develop my photography skills deeper, as it’s a passion of mine.
Date Night Jar // I think it’d be so fun for Michael and I to have a “date night jar”. At the start of each week we’ll pick at random the date for the week, this way we don’t spend forever choosing what we want to do. This will be a fun DIY to make, too!
I’m really looking forward to working on and achieving these goals this month! What are some of your goals for January? Do we share any of the same goals? Tell me about them in the comments!
Let’s remember that the whole process counts, not just the finished product. Be encouraged as you tackle each and every goal you have this year.
