Life has been a bit if a wild whirlwind lately – in good ways and in overwhelming ways. It’s so crazy to believe that Michael and I have been married for one month already, and that we’ve been back in our apartment for close to a month. Up until the other day, you would’ve thought we just got back, because we were still living out of our suitcases! Thankfully, I finally found time to put away most of our clothes…now to find time for the rest of the apartment to be arranged!
It’s been hard for me to find a good balance with everything that’s on my plate. Between spending time with God, spending time with my husband, working, blogging, working on the apartment, the family stresses and other things that come up, my blog has been pushed to the side the last couple weeks.
I’m going to get really real with you all here – I have been so discouraged the past couple of weeks for many reasons, but one of them sadly being my blog. From the process of wanting to bring Coffee With Summer to the next level by branding more, to when I am experiencing deep writer’s block instead of coming up with new content…it’s just all been very stressful for me, leaving me feeling down. I always try to remind myself of why I blog and why I find joy in it, and that usually helps, but sometimes it’s just hard to stay positive.
I am not the type of blogger who will just put out any content just to get something out there. I want everything I publish to have 100% of my effort in it and for it to be of high quality. I will not push out content that my heart is not completely in.
With all of that being said – no, I am not taking a blog break. I do not feel that is necessarily needed to get back on my game this time. However, you may be seeing less content the next couple of weeks, as I’ll be focusing more on reminding myself of why I love blogging and while I’m coming up with authentic content.
During this time, I would really love your feedback on Coffee With Summer thus far! If you could take this quick survey below, it’d be of great help to me. It’ll take no more than 5 minutes, if that! It’s really appreciated.
