Holy moly, it’s November already! Can you believe it? I know it’s hard for me to believe, especially since it’s still in the low 70’s here in Southeastern Pennsylvania. I am just craving the chilly sweater weather. I am, however, enjoying that there are still a ton of colorful leaves on the trees. Before I know it, they’ll all be fallen.
Last month you may have noticed that I didn’t publish a post with my October goals. That’s because I still didn’t get to completing most of my September goals. I have been really beating myself up over not accomplishing the goals I have set for myself and it’s been really getting to me lately. I have been under a lot of stress and difficult situations, so focusing on myself was something I pushed aside.
As I am struggling with the season of life that I’m in, I’m learning to show myself grace and patience. I’ll be sharing more on that later with you all. Let’s get to some goal sharing, shall we?
BLOG GOALS:
Branding // Branding yourself is tough work and it takes a lot of time and patience. Yep, a lot of patience! You’ll be noticing a few changes here and there, mostly with my color scheme and overall consistency. The thing with branding is that it’s not just about branding your blog or business, it’s about branding your social media, too. Basically, what I’m working on is having one strong, consistent voice across my online presence.
Monetizing // All right, let’s get really real here for a moment. Monetizing is even more difficult than developing your brand. I can’t tell you how many applications I have filled out to get sponsored opportunities and I have only gotten one. Now, don’t get me wrong – I am very thankful for that one opportunity, but as I’m wanting to be a full-time blogger, it’s important that I get more than just one. I have also been learning how to reach out to brands that I love to see if they’d like to collaborate. This can be nerve-wracking. But it pays off! I have an awesome opportunity with a brand that I love and I’m so excited to share them with you soon. My goal is to continue to grow in this area and to get at least one more sponsored post this month.
Blogging Course // I just started Helene In Between’s e-course “Quit Your Job to Blog” and I’m loving it already! Blogging is a passion of mine and I’d love be be full-time one day. I have been getting discouraged lately and have been wondering if pursuing this dream is worth it. Taking this course is showing me to not give up and that I am capable of reaching my dreams. I hope to finish this course this month at my own pace.
Grow Social Media // I don’t know if it’s because the holiday season is approaching or what, but my social media profiles have been pretty stagnant and I hope to shake them up a bit this month. Here are the numbers I want to reach by the end of the month/end of the year the longest, and be sure to follow me on them.
Facebook: 1,400
Twitter: 2,000
Instagram: 3,000
Pinterest: 1,600
PERSONAL GOALS:
Give Myself A Break // I am always hard on myself, and struggling with anxiety and depression makes it even worse. I need to remind myself that I need to be graceful and patient with myself. It’s tough.
Darling Threads // In attempt to sell my clothes that are in great condition that I don’t use anymore, I have started an Instagram closet shop called Darling Threads. I have sold at least 2o items so far and hope to sell all that’s still in shop and more. Head on over and see if there’s anything you’d like! I’m always having flash sales, too.
Plan A Date // I appreciate my husband more than I can put into words or can show. I’m wanting to plan an entire date night or date day all to show him how much I appreciate him and love him. I’m growing in love with this man everyday.
Shop Early // As a newlywed, holiday shopping is going to be tough since money is very, very tight already…not to mention student loans kick in this month (eh). My plan is to shop early and spot early holiday deals. This will help me save money and my sanity when it gets to the busy time of the holiday season.
I am going to take each day as it comes this month. I am excited to pursue my goals this month with positivity and grace. I need to remember to hold myself to standard of grace, not perfection.
Tell me some of your November goals in the comments! Do we share any of the same goals? I can’t wait to hear!
