October, you’re my favorite month. My heart is so glad that you’re here. Welcome!
This October is going to be a busy one for me and I’ll be announcing why here on CWS soon. Despite all of the good craziness that’s been going on, I have been able to hustle hard on all things blogging. The best part is that I have been able to get ahead on a good majority of my writing.
Before diving into this month’s goals, let’s revisit September’s goals!
SEPTEMBER GOALS: REVISITED
Plan Content For The Rest Of The Year // Success! I left some wiggle room for content that’ll come up along the way, as well.
Experiment With Instagram More Freely // Yep! Instagram is what it is for now, but I’ve definitely been way less stressed over it lately.
Start Introducing Travel Content // Haven’t gotten there quite yet, but those of you who filled out my reader survey last month seem excited about when travel content will be introduced.
Lose Weight & Clean Up My Eating Habits // Yes! I have lost 4lbs over the month. I still have a ways to go, but I’m proud of my progress.
Plan Our Vacation // Our vacation was put on hold, but for good reason.
Unplug More On The Weekends // Yes! It’s felt so amazing. Such freedom!
OCTOBER GOALS: BLOG & PERSONAL
Create Content Ahead Of Time When I Can // I’m entering a new busy season of life, so I’m hoping to create content ahead of schedule whenever I have some free time. Working ahead has always been healthy for my sanity, so I always aims to use my free time wisely.
Create A Pinterest Pinning Schedule Again // A couple months back, I started honing in on Pinterest and all the benefits it can bring me as a blogger. I was starting to see so much growth and it all stemmed from Pinterest. Then life got busy and I didn’t have much time to invest into it. Pinterest favors manually pinning over using a scheduler, so when I pin, it’s only ever manually. I’m aiming to spend time pinning for at least 20 minutes a day, twice a day, when possible.
Develop My Email List // A few weeks back, I finally started up my email newsletter again. It’s been a success so far. Ever since switching to Mailerlite, it’s been less of a headache to actually piece together my newsletters. It’s not a chore for me anymore, it’s fun! I’m so happy about that. The biggest struggles I have right now with my email list is promoting it and coming up with content ideas, but I’m getting my creative juices flowing for it, and I’m excited to see where it all goes.
I highly recommend Mailerlite to all my blog friends just starting out their email list. They’re platform is easy to use and navigate! There’s so much you can do with it. If you sign-up using my referral link, you can get $20 credit if you choose a paid plan. Sign-up here!
Continue To Lose Weight & Eat Healthier // I’m doing well so far, but I still have a ways to go to get to where I’d love to be. I’m up for the challenge. I’ve got my first cruise to go on the first week in January, so I definitely have the motivation that I need, haha. I’ve been cutting out more red meats and have been doing my best to eat mostly fruits and veggies. It’s SO hard, but seeing results is pushing me further!
Take Time To Rest // Being honest, this is something that hasn’t been a struggle for me lately. I love unplugging and rejuvenating my heart, mind, and body. With entering a busy season, it’s important for me to keep times of rest in my life. I’ll become burnt out if I don’t rest. I’ve been there before and will do anything to not reach that point again.
Enjoy The Process // Life is a process that’s filled with tons and tons of other processes, haha. Sometimes I get impatient and eager for things to come, but I’ve learned that learning to enjoy the process is so much more rewarding than wishing everything would come to me quickly. From blogging to personal life, learning to enjoy the process is one of my highest goals. The process is so valuable and so worth it.
