Hey everyone! It’s my 22nd birthday today!
Okay, anyway! It saddens me that my final spring break of college has come and gone, but I am glad that I am even closer to finally being finished with school. Although my break was not much of a break, since I was driving here, there and everywhere, I did enjoy the time that I had away from school.
Here is a recap of my spring break in photos!
The morning of when my break started, I spent some much needed time in the Word. I read from Psalm 33 to be refreshed and reminded of the Lord’s steadfast love. Then Michael and I had a nice lunch at Olive Garden and after that I drove home to Massachusetts for the weekend. Over the weekend, I spent the day with my aunt who is making my wedding dress for me. We picked out materials and I got measured. I am so beyond thankful and blessed to have her make my dress for me. It just makes it even more special than it already will be. So thrilled to see the final result!
After church on Sunday, my sister and I went and visited my dad for the afternoon. We enjoyed our time hanging out and looking through old photos.
Here is a photo of my dad and I when I was a baby, and here’s one of us now. My dad usually doesn’t have this crazy of a beard, but since he’s the maintenance manager at a sky place, he spends the majority of his time working outside. He likes to say he’s going for the Si Robertson look, haha.
I snapped a bunch of photos of photos, but here are two of my favorites that we found. One of me in my Lion King shirt and one of my grandfather and me. Love these! Old photos are such treasures!
After renewing my license on Monday (a real test of patience), I headed back to Pennsylvania to where Michael still was. Tuesday morning we drove up to Rochester, New York and that’s where we spent the rest of our break. I was so glad to have gotten my first iced passion tea of the season. I can feel the springtime wanting to break through the cold! Can you?
I will pretty much conjure up any kind of excuse to be able to browse around Anthropologie. The excuse this time was to pick up a $200 gift card for my birthday loop giveaway on Instagram! I collaborated with a fantastic group of bloggers to make this birthday giveaway possible and am so excited for it. To get in on the fun, you probably want to head over to my Instagram. I just love, love everything in this store. I am hoping to one day afford to buy all of my clothing from there, but until then, I’ll settle for Forever 21. Anyone else with me on this?
While I was at the mall, I had to treat myself to a few things. But only because it was for my birthday, of course. Random fact about me: bagels with cream cheese are one of my biggest weaknesses…especially if it’s an everything bagel from Bruegger’s! You need to have a Bruegger’s bagel if you haven’t already. They are just so delicious.
My future mother-in-law put together the most lovely bridal shower ever. I’ll be posting all about it later on this week, so here’s just a sneak peak of how adorable it was.
Overall, Michael and I were able to get lots of important things checked off our wedding to-do list, so we feel very accomplished. I cannot believe we’re getting married in just a little over three months. This is flying by! Even though wedding planning is stressful, everything is falling into place. God is so good.
