Last week the kids and I went to the Nike Outlet so they could get some new sneakers for school. It feels like they just got done for the summer and in two more weeks they’ll be back in school, as well as myself.
I told the kids on the way there that if they were behaved the entire time that I would treat them to something special afterwards. Alexander chose his sneakers right when we got to the store. As long as they were in his size, lime green and gray, he was satisfied. Now Elizabeth on the other hand is a fashionista. It took her a little bit longer since she was deciding between three different pairs, and because she kept walking over to look at the shorts, which we were not there for. But, she ended up deciding faster than I had thought she would – so we were all very happy.
Since they were such angels in the store, I treated them (and myself) to Starbucks for a refreshing drink and a cake pop. What kid doesn’t like cake pops, right?
Alexander and I both got chocolate cake pops and Elizabeth had her tastebuds set on a birthday cake cake pop. What did we get to sip on?
Alexander // A Sparkling Clementine Izze
Elizabeth // A Cotton Candy Frappuccino
Myself // An Iced Vanilla Macchiato
An adventurous, laugh-filled afternoon was just what we all needed.
