On Saturday, November 29th, what seemed to start off as a normal day turned into the best day of my life (so far). Michael and I were up in Rochester for Thanksgiving this year and every time we’re up in the area for more than a weekend, we like to take a trip up to Lake Ontario.
We love visiting the lake, especially at Hamlin Beach because we have a little area we like to call “our spot”. It was like every other trip we take here – walking around, taking photos of the lake and each other… I suspected nothing. Michael knew that I wasn’t expecting it because I didn’t have my nails done to perfection or my hair done, haha.
We were walking along on the rocks, goofing around and the next thing I knew Michael was down on his knee, asking me to marry him.
