Oh my gosh, you guys! I am beyond excited to share this huge and exciting news with you all! Michael and I are MOVING! We are beyond excited for this next step in life together.
We are moving to The Pocono Mountains! The Poconos are about 2 hours north of where we are right now in Pennsylvania. While this is a huge (and super exciting) transition for us, it’s not as crazy as a cross-country move would be. Also, here’s a fun fact: While I was brought up in Massachusetts, I was actually born in The Poconos! So, it’s kind of funny that Michael and I are being brought to this area.
The reason we’re moving is because Michael has accepted a new job at Community Church as the music and worship tech director! We are so grateful to God for His leading in this process.
God has been preparing our hearts for a transition for quite a few months now, but we just weren’t sure what that transition would be or when it would be. This incredible opportunity was brought to us not even a month ago, but the peace we felt when it came to pursuing it was so clear to us. We’re beyond glad that we let go and completely let God draw us to where He wants us for His glory.
This next month for us is going to be a crazy ride, but we’re embracing it with arms wide open! We are still in the process of finding a place to live, but we’re believing that we’ll be led to a place that’ll fit our needs and give us space to grow as a family. We’ll be overlapping rent, but for us that’s a good thing as we can take our time packing, moving, and cleaning.
One of the hardest things for me in this transition is having to leave my nanny kids (well, teens now!) of four years. Last spring, I shared about 10 things I have learned from being a nanny. Well, I have learned way more than just those 10 things, haha. Nannying is more than just babysitting for a few hours here and there. Being a nanny is to be a constant in their life – a constant who cheers them on and invests into their lives. It’s been so humbling to have been able to have this opportunity to learn and grow. I have grown so much over these past four years and I’m blessed to have this experience with the best family ever.
With moving, I will obviously be looking for a new job. I have been searching around for some different options of what I’m passionate about – social media marketing and such. I haven’t had any luck yet, but I’m willing to do what I have to do. I would be totally okay with working retail for a company that I love for a good year or so…before I become a mom one day, haha.
I am trying my very best to get a ton of content written ahead of time, so that the blog won’t be silent for any amount of time during this moving process. Though, if it does get a little quiet around here for a little while, you know the reason for that! Thank you for your patience in this process. Your support forever means the world to me.
