Happy Wednesday, friends! I hope you’re having an enjoyable and productive week so far. I’m so glad you stopped by CWS today because I’m thrilled to be partnering with GlobeIn today to share with you their heart and mission, as well as some of the great goods they have to offer.
First, let me introduce you to GlobeIn and what they are all about. GlobeIn is all about delivering joy by empowering and connecting remarkable, remote artisans to mindful customers. GlobeIn is all about social good and they have an extraordinary online shop, as well as a monthly Artisan Subscription Box service. GlobeIn goes beyond just connecting these amazing artisans and their customers, they are truly involved in these artisan’s lives, so that they can further help themselves, their families, and their communities. They are huge believers that each one of us matters in this world and that by treating others with compassion, reverence, and respect is one of the most caring ways to grow our world to be more interconnected.
As you can tell, GlobeIn has a huge heart for everyone and that’s something I can get behind 110%. Connection, joy, and passion are all things each one of us needs to have a full and happy life.
GlobeIn has an online shop where you can find all kinds of sustainable goods for many categories of life – from beauty all the way to home decor. There are also some really great gift sets, too! Like I mentioned earlier, they also have a monthly Artisan Subscription Box service.
- They curate a themed collection of artisan goods
- You customize your shipment and choose add-on products
- Your artisan box is shipped to you!
GlobeIn sent me their “Serve Box” and I’m absolutely in love with all of the goods inside of it. This box is no longer available all together, but all of the items are still available on their site separately. I’m linking them below for you. 🙂
All of these pieces are absolutely stunning! Let me tell you a bit more about them.
The Block-Printed Table Runner is by far my most favorite good from my box. It was made in India by a lady named Lakshmi, who stepped out to make her creative mark on the world by keeping the scared textile tradition alive. She married young and was never educated but she knew she wanted to make some bold moves for her life.
This table runner is 100% cotton and is block-printed with gold semi-metallic ink. The gold and the pattern of this table runner suits my dining and kitchen area perfectly, and the fact that there’s such a powerful story behind it fills my heart with joy.
The beautiful hand-blown glass vase is such a versatile good. It can be used to serve water or as a wine decanter, as well as being used for a flower vase. Serving liquids from a hand-blown glass shows how life is supposed to be slow and enjoyed, not fast and rushed.
Gerardo Mendoza Pozos lives in Mexico and is just 18 years old and has been studying the craft of glassblowing for a few years now. He loves to learn and intends to embark on the long road to mastery in glassblowing. He’s the maker of this uniquely stunning pitcher/vase.
The condiment bowl and spoon are both made in Kenya. Being a part of a carving group is a common occupation in Kenya. Wood has actually become scarce in Kenya, but thankfully, an environmental movement is underway that is in the process of replanting and replenishing the valued resource. Trees like the olive tree used to create the condiment bowl and spoon are under protection by conservation efforts. Woodcarvers have to pay for a license to chop down an olive tree for their craft.
I am so happy with the Artisan Box I received from GlobeIn. Not only are the good absolutely amazing, but the stories behind them are empowering and inspiring.
