Hey darlings! I hope you had a great weekend and I hope your Monday was a good start to the week.
Over the weekend I got together with a couple blog friends for a blogger brunch at Terrain in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania and it was such a blissful time. I had been wanting to visit Terrain for years now so when it was brought up in our chat, I was over the moon! We were going to meet up with a good handful of bloggers in the area but many had to postpone until our next get together. So, it ended up just being Becca, Kristen, and me at the brunch but gosh, it was still a blast!
If you haven’t ever heard of Terrain before, here’s a little background for you. Terrain is an extension of Anthropologie and is a garden, home and outdoor lifestyle brand deeply rooted in nature and plant life. Terrain was founded in 2008 and that’s when the flagship location in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania was opened. The Glen Mills location is on the site of the historic J. Franklin Styler’s Nursery. “Terrain blurs the line between a life loved outside and in”, making it an absolute dream of a place to visit.
If you’ve got an open heart and a wild spirit, you’re sure to love Terrain.
Before browsing the gorgeous shop and nursery, we had brunch at the Terrain Cafe. The cafe was quaint and homey – I really wish I took more photos of the cafe itself! I will be sure to the next time I visit.
It was so hard to decide what to order from the menu because everything sounded amazing, but I ended up going with the Berries and Creme French Toast. And oh my heavens, it was delicious!! Becca and Kristen both ordered something different but they loved their brunch choices, as well. Everything looked and tasted SO good.
The Terrain Cafe is BYOB so we brought some champagne to make mimosas. That was definitely the best choice for a blogger brunch. 😉 Becca actually brought some champagne that she had gotten when she visited Napa Valley recently, so needless to say, these were some of the greatest mimosas that I’ve ever had.
Seriously, though. How amazing does this french toast look?! All the heart eyes for sure. I still can’t get over how delicious it was.
After we were done brunching in the cafe, we decided to browse the rest of the Terrain property.
Terrain is all about merging house and garden to create an experience for all of the senses. You know what? They 100% succeeded.
I had a very “outdoorsy” childhood growing up and to be honest, I didn’t like that when I was a kid, haha. I’d go hiking with my family and I’d nonstop complain about the bugs and my fear of getting a tick. Even camping and just plain planting flowers would be a push for me some days. It’s funny looking back at those memories of childhood because now I love being outdoors – hiking, exploring, and just simply being in nature. One of my goals as I continue to grow is to take the beauty of the outdoors inside with me.
Greenery and flowers are definitely one of my love languages. Oh, we can’t forget about all of the unique pots and design elements, too. Terrain has such a beautiful array of native plants, hand-picked planters, all-weather furniture, seasonal decorations, and so much more.
Whenever I’m in a space like Terrain, I’m always left feeling inspired and refreshed.
There were so, so many beautiful decor pieces and plants that I wanted to buy… wait, I really wanted everything from here.
Terrain has three other flagship locations in addition to Glen Mills, PA:
- Westport, Connecticut
- Walnut Creek, California
- Palo Alto, California
If you’re near one of these locations or will be visiting near one soon, make sure you put Terrain on your “to-visit” list. It’s a must-have experience. I can’t recommend it enough. It’s now a goal of mine to visit every location that they have!
Did I mention how perfect of a day it was weather-wise? It was perfect! I’m pretty sure it hit 80 degrees and it was partly cloudy out. It was definitely one of the best Saturday’s that I have had in a long time.
I think we all looked adorable for our brunch! Also, I always think it’s so funny when I get photos with others because it always puts into perspective how short I really am, haha!
WHAT I’M WEARING:
