Jace Michael turned one-year-old last week! I can’t believe that he’s already a year old. Time has flown. It really feels like he was a newborn just yesterday. Babies don’t keep. 😭 I have been so emotional about it all.
Jace has brought so much joy and sweetness into my life – throughout my pregnancy and this past year. He went from being borderline colic to the absolute happiest and smiliest boy in the world. He is such a blessing.
We are still going strong with breastfeeding, which I’m immensely grateful for and do not take for granted. He loves solid foods! He is still a gummy babe with no teeth (taking after big sis at his age) but I think he’ll cut his first tooth soon. He’s a mama’s boy through and through.
Jace gets into everything and is a total opportunist. He likes figuring out how things work and gets a kick out of stacking blocks and other stacking toys. He claps, waves hello and goodbye, and loves to groove! He has great rhythm already – it runs in the family. 🙂
He’s a pro at climbing the stairs and the pikler triangle. He’s walking incredibly and is practically running. He says quite a few words… mama, dada, hi, hey, bye-bye, all done, and a few more.
JACE’S SMASH CAKE PHOTOSHOOT
I am happy we decided to DIY Jace’s smash cake photoshoot at-home. We DIY’d Taya’s smash cake photoshoot and it was a success, so I knew it would be a breeze for Jace’s photoshoot. You can read my top 7 tips for a successful DIY smash cake photoshoot HERE!
I really love simple and timeless “themes” for any kind of baby or family photoshoot. I believe that less is more for baby photos. Busy backgrounds and themes are just too much for my taste. Neutrals have my heart and made it easy for me to bring my vision for his photos to life.
