Hi, darlings! I can’t wait to dig in and share the details of this outfit with you but first, we have to talk about how summer starts this week! Thursday marks the first *official* day of summer 2018! Can you believe? I honestly don’t know how I feel about it, haha. It feels like 2018 just started yesterday. This year is going to be over before we know it. Everyone I talk to feels the same way. I know people say “time flies when you’re having fun” but that’s not the case for me LOL! This year has been a tough one so far but I’m looking forward to this summer season.
Right now I’m up in Rochester, NY which is where Michael is from. We came up for a couple days over the weekend and I decided to stay the entire week since I have a flexible work week. Michael will be coming back up later this week to pick me up. I love it up here in the summertime and I love spending time with my in-laws. 🙂
When we shot this outfit two weeks ago, I wanted to share it with you immediately! But I kept it cool and kept my patience, haha. Though, at the end of last week, I had to start giving sneak peeks because this look was just too cute to keep to myself anymore.
If you’ve been around CWS for a while now, you know that I like to dress cute, but I also like to keep things minimal. Outfits with tons of pieces and jewelry to them are just not my style. Casual and cute is typically what I aim for. One style that I have always loved is the bohemian look. I love how earthy and breezy it is. I also love that boho styles usually stick to neutral colors, but lately, they’ve been breaking out more boho clothing with brighter colors. As a lover of neutrals, I never thought I’d introduce more color into my wardrobe, but here I am doing just that… only a little bit!
I snagged this ADORABLE boho top at Tilly’s at the beginning of May and have been loving it ever since. It’s an off-the-shoulder crop top that’s cinched at the waist. I love the ruffle detail from the sleeves all the way around. It gives it a bit of an added flair overall! The top is from the brand Sky & Sparrow which is one of my favorite brands that Tilly’s carries. They have a ton of boho and basic pieces that are perfect for summertime and year-round, too!

The high-waisted denim that I’m wearing is from Hollister. I’m still shocked how much I love them! One of my younger sisters works at Hollister and always raves about their jeans, so I had to give them a try. I am so impressed! Plus, they are one of the few stores that actually carry my size right now.
My shoes? I have shared about these in my Memorial Day Outfit post and friends, I am still SO happy with them. I can wear them all day long and they are more comfortable than some of my flat sandals. They also come in cognac so I’m going to try and grab them while they’re still on sale for only $25.99!
