My favorite time of the year is finally arriving. September, I’m glad you’re here, because this means fall is near.
What I love to do on the first day of each month is share what my blogging and personal goals are for the upcoming month. In addition to that, I usually review how I did on my goals for the previous month. This month, I’m not going to be reviewing my goals from last month.
This summer has been a wild ride for me, and even to say that is probably an understatement. I went into this summer with ambitious goals for my blog and my personal life, but I haven’t come close to achieving what I was hoping to have achieved by now. I keep wanting to come up with an explanation as to why I haven’t accomplished certain goals, but I don’t even have the words. I feel tired, stuck, and uninspired.
I have many long-term goals for my blogging and influencer marketing, but I just can’t seem to map out how to achieve all of those goals 100%. I guess that’s part of the process though, and I’m learning to be okay with that, rather than letting it get me down.
I’m going to be spending the next couple weeks planning out content ideas for the rest of the year, as well as brainstorming for 2018. It’s never too early to start, right? I already have some new things that I want to introduce to Coffee With Summer, as I start to refocus back to being a lifestyle blog. Don’t worry, my content isn’t going to change at all. Instead, I’m going to be adding a couple new areas to write about, as well as refining some that I already have.
It’s an honor to have YOU as a reader of Coffee With Summer. I can’t even begin to express the amount of gratitude I have for you and your readership. I’m due to have a little reader survey and I feel this is the perfect time to do so. To learn more, read through my post until the end.

SEPTEMBER GOALS: BLOG & PERSONAL
BLOG GOALS:
Plan Content For The Rest Of The Year // At the start of every year, I go ahead and plan out seasonal and monthly posts, but I leave room for general content to be determined as the time approaches. I did a pretty great job at keeping up with my plans as far as non-sponsored content went. I want to continue that success by planning out my content for the rest of the year now. Of course, this still leaves flexibility for sponsored opportunities, but this time I’m making it a priority to seek out more sponsored opportunities for more “ordinary” posts than I have before. I have high hopes and now I just need to hustle hard to get there.
Experiment With Instagram More Freely // Instagram, oh Instagram – where do I begin? You all know the struggle is real, but instead of dwelling on that struggle, I’m going try my best to stay positive and try out new things. For example, I want to try posting more than once a day on certain days. I’m also beginning to stray from my posting theme that’s been consistent through the year until now. I used to have every other photo be a photo of me, but with how Instagram is nowadays, I figure there’s no hurt in experimenting with some new approaches when it comes to posting.
Start Introducing Travel Content // Traveling is something I have always wanted to do more of. I never thought I could incorporate it into my blog, as I haven’t really been anywhere other than the East Coast and I haven’t flown yet. But, that’s silly! What’s a better time to start incorporating travel into my blog than just now as I’m beginning to travel? Don’t worry, Coffee With Summer will never turn into a travel blog. But, I’m excited to share my travel experiences and future tips with all of you.
PERSONAL GOALS:
Lose Weight & Clean Up My Eating Habits // Friends, I’m at a super low low right now with how I feel about my body, and that’s okay. But, because I love myself and I want to better myself, now is not the time for excuses anymore. I am going to work on working out at least 5 times a week. My arms and inner thighs are the worst they’ve ever been, so if you have any workouts that’ll help them, send them to me on Pinterest! Please! The hardest thing for me is going to be cleaning up and maintaining my new eating habits. I eat like a literal kid, so I’ve got to up my veggie game big time, haha.
Plan Our Vacation // Michael and I FINALLY have some vacation time off together. This hasn’t happened (other than the holiday time) since we’ve been married, so we’re pumped. We’re going to Palm Spring, California and we couldn’t be more excited. I’m looking forward to going to the Joshua Tree National Park, but I have so much more to plan!
Unplug More On The Weekends // Unplugging is something I try to do Friday evening through Sunday. Sometimes I’ll post on Twitter on Instagram just to keep my account active, but other than that, I need to unplug from social media. The endless amounts of scrolling aimlessly that I do could really be spent so much more wisely by spending time with my husband or simply relaxing.

If you’re a dedicated reader of CWS, I’d love for you to take 2-3 minutes to fill out this quick, little reader survey. It’s just a check-in to see how you’re all receiving my content. Feel free to email me with any questions, comments, or concerns that you might have.
