Previous Bumpdate: 22 Weeks Bumpdate
Happy #bumpday! 😉 I feel like I’m going to say this every time I intro one of my bumpdate posts but wow, this pregnancy is flying by! To be honest, I debated even writing a bumpdate this month because I really don’t feel like all that much has changed aside from my evergrowing belly, haha. The photo above was taken at 23 weeks 3 days and I remember just feeling so good that day.
It’s absolutely crazy to me that right now, I’m less than 2 weeks away from starting the third trimester.
SYMPTOMS WEEK 23-26:
There’s not much new in this department. My second trimester has been incredible which I’m really grateful for. Aside from the lower back aches and sciatica, I don’t have much to complain about. I know some women have really tough pregnancies so I can’t express how thankful I am that I have been healthy and well.
I occasionally have heartburn in the evenings or after I’ve eaten chocolate. True story, I don’t think I ever had heartburn before my pregnancy. I was explaining how I was feeling to Michael and he laughed and said, “Babe, that’s heartburn. You’re okay! Go take some TUMS.” Too funny.
For the most part, my skin cleared up really well for most of my second trimester but gosh, the past week or so, the hormonal acne has come back with a vengeance. Unfortunately, there’s not much I can do about it other than continue on with a safe prenatal skincare routine and patience. I’ll gladly take any pregnancy-safe skincare recommendations if you have any!
MASSACHUSETTS BABY SHOWER:
We had our first baby shower at the beginning of November in Massachusetts, which is where I’m from. It was a combined baby shower with my younger sister, Bethany, who just had her baby girl in September at only 26 weeks. Both my sister and her baby girl are incredible! Her little one has been in the NICU the past 2 months but praise be to God, she’s right on track and it looks like she’ll get to go home soon. 🙂
We had our shower at Ski Ward and it was a great, cozy location for it. Everything came out beautifully and the food was delicious. Since I live out of state and have been ever since I graduated high school, it’s always extra special to me to get to see and spend time with family and friends. It was a beautiful shower. Incredible grateful for all the love shown to our sweet girl already!

CRAVINGS AS OF LATELY: Either a nice fresh salad or french toast sticks. Oh, and strawberry Gatorade.
WEIGHT GAIN: About 12-13lbs and that’s all been in my second trimester as I didn’t gain in my first trimester. Seeing the scale go up has probably been the toughest thing for me so far this pregnancy. I’ll probably share more on that eventually. But, I’m grateful that everything is on track and that sweet Baby T is growing how she should.
BODY CHANGES: Nothing other than my baby bump continually growing.
MOVEMENT: This little lady is quite the mover! As I shared before, I started feeling distinct kicks at 19 weeks and at 20 weeks, we were seeing her kick from outside. The neatest thing and 100% my favorite ever! She is extremely active and is definitely on a schedule so far. She loves 11 am and 11 pm for some of her “showoff” times, haha. I love my girl.
WHAT DO YOU MISS? A crisp hard cider – my favorite drink during the fall. Le sigh!
HAVE YOU STARTED THE NURSERY? Not yet but you betcha I’ve already been in full planning mode. We’re planning on painting in a couple of weeks and from there, I’m sure everything will fall right into place. I’m SO excited!
