Hey, friends! January might have gone by soooo slow but February has flown by! I’m pretty excited about this because March is my birthday month. Woo-hoo! 😉 I’m not getting too into my personal life here today but I will be later this week. Instead, it’s time to celebrate!!
I have been nominated as Lifestyle InfluenceHer of the year for 2018!
If you didn’t see on my Instagram or Instagram Stories last Friday, I was nominated for Lifestyle InfluenceHer of the year for the InfluenceHer Awards 2018!!
When I put in my application to be considered, I felt a lot of different feelings. I felt confident in myself because 2018 was definitely my best year of blog growth to date and I really felt like I flourished all year long. But, I also knew that there would be so many amazing bloggers/influencer applying, too and that even though I killed it last year, it was a possibility that I wouldn’t end up being nominated. I just told myself, “whatever happens is what’s supposed to happen!” And I had peace in that!
When I got the email saying that I was one of the nominees for Lifestyle category… I couldn’t believe it. I probably read through the email 5 times, haha. I just wanted to make sure that it was real!
It’s hard to put everything I’ve been feeling into words but I am beyond grateful, humbled, and honored to be in the top 10 nominees for the Lifestyle category. The fact that the ladies at InfluenceHer Collective see my potential means so much to me. I’ve been a part of InfluenceHer Collective for years now – I think since close to the beginning of when I started CWS. 🙂
The winner in each category gets an all-expense paid trip for a weekend in LA to attend Her Conference: Inspire, where the winners will get the opportunity to be recognized for their work and to network with others in the industry. Plus, there are many other perks, like VIP tickets to College Fashion Week in the fall!

LISTENING TO… AJR on repeat. Seriously! I cannot get enough of these guys. They’re too good. They have really clever lyrics and messaging through their range of songs. I love them! Now they need to come on tour somewhere near me.
WORKING ON… Spring cleaning. Yep, that’s right! We’re starting early here but it feels so good! We have limited storage in our house so we’re finding ways to get creative with it. We’re also finally working on furnishing our upstairs living room. I call it our “sitting room” because we don’t have a TV in it. 🙂
EXCITED FOR… My birthday!! It feels weird that I’m going to be 26… I’m not getting any younger, le sigh. My birthday is the day before St. Patrick’s Day and since both are on a weekend this year, it’ll be tough to go on a getaway to celebrate. Such a bummer! 🙁 I was really hoping to go to NYC with Mike for my birthday but everything is just way too pricey for my liking and I’d rather steward our money somewhere else, like home improvement/things for the home. Though, I am itching to get a new tattoo… we’ll have to see.
LOOKING FORWARD TO… SPRING! Ah, where is spring? Two weeks ago it was in the high 40s & 50s here and then the weather decided to go back to the frigid temps. It’s totally not cool to be teased like that. I need spring. I can’t wait to open up the windows in my home to freshen it up.
